Hello! Thank you for visiting! I have worked as a designer, art director, and creative director for the past 16 years. Recently, I was the art director at Califia Farms, a plant-based beverage company, for nearly four years. My responsibilities included improving their e-commerce experience, leading a brand redesign, creating marketing campaigns, and designing experiential and out-of-home experiences.

As you might be able to tell, I’m very inspired by vintage ephemera. I love the attention to detail that artists gave to their work and strive to implement that intentionality into my work. I love to dive into design archives and study the work from all around the world. Graphic design is an incredible storytelling tool.

Although the design world is one thing that makes me tick, my other equally big passions are people and the environment. Activism is a big part of my life, particularly for immigration and refugee rights and environmental protections. My values in life are to be connected to nature, to love and have genuine connections with people, to create art that inspires and moves people towards action or thought, and to be curious and enjoy this beautiful earth.

As a naturally curious person who loves having hobbies and making things with my hands, I recently attended Annie Atkins’ (designer for Wes Anderson and Steven Spielberg) graphic prop design workshop in Dublin, Ireland. I can say that my designer heart sang for weeks during and after that workshop. I love to make graphic props as a form of storytelling.

Other fun things to note:

  • I’m married to a powerhouse musician that inspires me daily. We have a dog named Snacks and a cat named Norma. They’re all the dream.

  • I once won 15,000 honeybees in a raffle.

  • I’m currently on a sustainable garden journey using permaculture methods. See here!

✨ Nice Things People Have Said ✨

I had the pleasure of working alongside Beth at Califia Farms where she was the Art Director. To say she is an exceptional art director is a massive understatement. She has all the technical expertise you would expect from such a high position, but she brought so much more to the team, too. As the copy director, I worked closely with Beth and always felt comfortable handing over my copy work for her to run with. Her design skills are top notch, her ability to take an idea and push it creatively never ceased to amaze me, and her attention to detail on top of the high-level concepting is so rare to find in one person. I was always blown away with the work she would come back with, how she could take a headline or a piece of copywriting and turn it into something beautiful that further communicated whatever point it was we were trying to get across.

Equal to her design and directing skills are the social and emotional skills Beth brought to our team. She is such a people person, inclusive and kind to everyone. Beth was always the first to notice something great that someone did and thank them for it. She built a real sense of family on our team and in the wider organization.

I recommend Beth wholeheartedly.

I had the pleasure of working with Beth at Califia Farms. Not only is Beth a great designer, but she’s also a fantastic collaborator with a great can-do attitude. Every time I worked with her on a project it was always approached with an attitude of how can I do best-in-class work on this request. At the same time, she always did a fantastic job of linking the design request with the macro business strategy, delivering excellent work. As a brand marketer, a design collaborator like her is a dream.
